At a recent presentation to our Foundation Board a Harvard trained Oncologist presented this as an opening statement in his overview of cancer. It seems worth sharing to show we may have choices in dealing with the shocking words, "You have cancer of ... and ... your options are."

As I sit next to my husband's bed watching him die, words like the ones included above make me realize that even cancer cannot destroy everything. And regardless of his pain and of those of us who will always love him, it is his kindness and enormous capacity to love what I will carry in my heart forever. Thankd for the blog and wise words as such knowledge is crucial at times like these.
